How do you make sure the hoodies don't shrink or lose shape after washing?

We eliminate wash deformation through mill-stage pre-shrinking and compacting on every 300–550 GSM French Terry and brushed fleece we run, then verify the result against strict international wash standards before bulk cutting. The goal is simple: a hoodie that leaves our factory fitting true should still fit true after dozens of home wash cycles at your customer's home.

Pre-Shrinking at the Mill

Before cutting, all greige and dyed knits pass through a compacting and relaxing process that stabilizes the loop structure and removes latent shrinkage. This is done at the fabric mill, not as an afterthought, so the dimensional stability is built into the cloth. We control relaxation, over-feed, and finishing tension per fabric family to hold width and length within tolerance.

Wash Shrinkage Within Standard

Finished garments are tested for wash shrinkage and kept within strict limits (typically well under 3–5% length/width after five industrial wash cycles, depending on the standard your market requires). We also control pilling and colorfastness to wash, so the surface stays clean and the color stays true. Every relevant batch can be supplied with its test result on request.

Consistency Across the Run

Because we maintain a library of 200+ fabrics and standardize finishing per family, the hand-feel and stability are repeatable order to order. OEKO-TEX 100 compliant dyes and finishes protect skin safety, and GRS-certified recycled options are available for the same stability. The 8-step QC includes an in-line check on panel dimensions so drift is caught before it becomes a finished-garment problem.
